Author Anthony Dixon, Ph.D. will discuss his book Florida’s Negro War: Black Seminoles and the Second Seminole War. According to the book, The Second Seminole War (1835-1842) was the result of American plantation society’s relentless effort to enslave the Black Seminole population with the object to return as many, if not all, to slavery.
